WHAT IT DOES ON YOUR MAC
Glancet has no account and no server holding your data. It runs on your Mac, talks to your agents over 127.0.0.1, and never reads your source code. Three things worth knowing:
- Connecting an agent edits that agent's settings file. Glancet adds its hook entries to, say,
~/.claude/settings.jsonso the agent can tell it when a session starts, needs you, or finishes. It backs the file up first, leaves other tools' entries alone, and removes its own when you disconnect. Nothing is touched until you connect an agent. - Usage limits are optional. Turn them on and Glancet uses the Claude Code token already in your Keychain to ask Anthropic for your own usage figures. Nothing is copied, stored, or sent to us. Settings → Usage turns the feature off, credential read included. That endpoint isn't documented by Anthropic, so it may change one day and the bars stop.
- It checks for updates and counts installs. Once a day Glancet asks glancet.io whether a newer version exists, and asks you before installing anything. On first launch it sends one “+1” so installs can be counted — the version number, no identifier. Both switch off in Settings.

INSTALLING
- Unzip, drag Glancet to Applications, open it.
- No Dock icon — Glancet lives in the menu bar. The pixel alien is the app.
- Open Settings from the menu-bar icon and connect the agents you use.
- Optional: grant Accessibility so ⌘1–⌘5 raises the right window, not just the app.
WHAT IT COSTS
Nothing for the first 7 days — the full app, no card. After that it's $10 once — a perpetual licence for one Mac at a time, not a subscription — with a 30-day refund policy. The key arrives by email; here's what to do with it.
THE SMALL PRINT
Installing Glancet means accepting the licence agreement. Also: terms, privacy, changelog, support.
